JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs fell on the road against Jacksonville State on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs gave up four early goals in the first half to Jacksonville State, resulting in the 4-0 loss.
Jacksonville State was aggressive in their attack early, as the Gamecocks scored in the 5th minute to go up 1-0. The Gamecocks scored in the 15th minute, 31st minute, and 39th minute to go up 4-0 on the Bulldogs. Tech was outshot 17-2 in the first half, in addition, Jax State also had ten corner kicks in the first half, the most an opponent has had in a half this season.

Avery Kyle and Grace Clay.
Later in the second half, Tech's defense held strong, keeping Jax State scoreless in the second half. The Gamecocks outshot the Bulldogs 9-7 in the second half. Forward
Kyra Taylor led Tech in shot attempts with three, but one attempt would be on target. Goalkeeper Sarah Melén collected seven saves on the day after facing 26 shots. Melén, in her five starts, has had four games with five-plus saves.
"We fell asleep in the first half, and Jacksonville State took advantage of our lack of energy. In the second half, we became more competitive, but we have work to do offensively," Votlz said.
