No. 9 Bulldogs Open NCAA Season in Orlando

Bowling opens NCAA in Florida for second consecutive season

RUSTON – The No. 9 Louisiana Tech bowling team will travel to Orlando, Florida, this weekend to begin its NCAA portion of the schedule at Destination Orlando hosted by Sacred Heart University at AMF All-Star Lanes on Friday - Sunday.
 
This marks the second consecutive season the Bulldogs have opened their NCAA schedule at Destination Orlando. LA Tech finished seventh at last year's event.

Friday: 
Five 5 game baker
Saturday: Five traditional game matches
Sunday: Three best 4-of-7 baker matches

The ninth-ranked Bulldogs earned two wins at the SWIBC I and SWIBC II to begin their season in early October.
 
Kylee Trexler led the way in both events, earning a spot on the all-tournament team each day. Trexler rolled a 947 on day one and a 1,175 on day two. Jenna Stretch also made both all-tournament teams, recording two top-five finishes with a fourth-place showing on day one and a third-place finish on day two.
 
Juliana Kerrigan earned a runner-up finish in the SWIBC I, while Rachel Ong placed fifth, with both earning all-tournament team honors. True freshman Kyrah Durham registered a fifth-place finish in the SWIBC II with a score of 1,108.
