Louisiana Tech Athletics Announces the Coaches Legacy Plaza Capital Project

Louisiana Tech Athletics and the Championship Resources team are proud to announce the Coaches Legacy Plaza capital project

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech Athletics and the Championship Resources team are proud to announce the Coaches Legacy Plaza capital project.

Set to be constructed on the Southwest corner of Joe Aillet Stadium, the Coaches Legacy Plaza will pay tribute to the great coaches who have roamed the sidelines at Louisiana Tech. Made possible through private donations, the two coaches' statues that will be erected as part of the groundbreaking are legendary leaders, Coach Joe Aillet and Coach Maxie Lambright.

"Legacy is synonymous with both Coach Aillet and Lambright," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Ryan Ivey. "Their contributions to Louisiana Tech and the game of football are immeasurable. This plaza will allow us to articulate and tell the story of both individuals while providing a unique fan experience amenity to Joe Aillet Stadium. We are forever grateful for the donors that have made this project a reality."

For those wishing to donate to this project and leave their mark for future generations to see, the Coaches Legacy Plaza Brick Campaign is live now. Inscribe your brick with three lines and up to 15 characters on each line for a permanent tribute in a high traffic area. Bricks are $250 each and can be donated HERE.

The Coaches Legacy Plaza is the latest project in a multi-phase enhancement of Joe Aillet Stadium. Projects that have already been completed or are under construction include the Sarah and A.L. Williams Champions Plaza, the LED ribbon board and video board, and the Origin Bank Center for Student-Athlete Success.

The project has an expected completion date of Fall 2025.
