Series History: LSU leads 20-8 (since 1970)
The Bulldogs look to snap a two-game losing streak to the Tigers, having previously fallen to LSU in Red Stick in 2024 and 2025. The last time Tech defeated LSU dates back to 2022, when the 'Dogs swept a two-game home-and-home series.
Tech hosted a then-ranked No. 2 LSU at the Love Shack for the first midweek contest of the 2022 season, downing the Tigers 11-6 in front of a crowd of 2,529 fans on a Tuesday night. Their second win was a 12-inning thriller, with Tech winning 7-6 at The Box.
Cade Gibson earned the win in front of the home crowd, throwing five full innings allowing three runs on three hits, one walk and eight punchouts. Kyle Crigger picked up the win to earn the season sweep in Baton Rouge, tossing the final four scoreless innings of the contest. He scattered three hits while striking out eight Tiger batters.
The 'Dogs look to snap a two-game losing skid to conclude the road trip before opening up a brief four-game homestand.
LSU enters the contest coming off a series loss at home to No. 8 Oklahoma, dropping the final two games of the series after opening up with a 7-1 win on Thursday, March 19. The Sooners evened the series, 4-2, on Friday before taking the rubber match in a tight 4-3 final.
Jake Brown has been one of the nation's top sluggers up to this point in the season, ranking among the top 15 nationally in home runs and RBI. He is also 32nd in Division I and sixth in the SEC with a .794 slugging percentage.
