NATCHITOCHES, La. – Louisiana Tech softball could not overcome a one-run deficit over the final four innings as the Bulldogs fell 2-1 to Northwestern State on Tuesday night at Lady Demon Diamond. The loss moves LA Tech to 19-17.
The Bulldogs outhit the Demons 5-3 as
Gracie Flores led the way with two hits, including a double and an RBI.

Allie Furr and
Bradi Gallaway had one hit each while Heng scored Tech's lone run on Flores' double.
Allie Floyd (8-10) started in the circle and took the loss after allowing two runs on three hits with two walks over 4.0 innings.
Bryannah Campos pitched 2.0 scoreless frames and did not allow a hit while striking out three.
NSU took an early 1-0 lead in the first as Floyd issued a leadoff walk to JT Smith, which the Demons capitalized on. A groundout and a passed ball moved Smith to third, and a wild pitch allowed her to score an unearned run.
The Bulldogs tied the game in the top of the third as Heng led off with a single, followed by a Flores double to left-center that scored Heng from first.
The tie was short-lived as NSU took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the inning. Riley Schwisow led off with a double, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on an infield single.
LA Tech was unable to plate another run despite singles from Flores and Gallaway in the fifth and sixth innings.
Mattison Buster earned the win for NSU after allowing one run on five hits with five strikeouts. The Bulldogs left six runners on base in the loss.
