The Diamond ‘Dogs have multiple All-Louisiana selections for the first time since 2023.
RUSTON – Three players representing Louisiana Tech baseball have been named to the 2026 LSWA All-Louisiana Team, per the association's release Saturday morning. Trey Hawsey was named to First Team, Declan Dahl to Second Team and Colby Lunsford was an honorable mention.
The Bulldogs have multiple selections to the All-Louisiana team for the first time since 2023, when Ethan Bates (First Team) and Jorge Corona (Second Team) received the accolade. The three selections for LA Tech are the most since 2022, when seven different Diamond 'Dogs were named to the All-Louisiana team.
Hawsey was the team's leader in home runs, RBI, total bases, and OPS during the 2026 season, as him and Lunsford were two of three players for LA Tech to start in all 58 games. Hawsey was named Second Team All-Conference USA for the second-straight season as well as receiving ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-South Region honors.
Dahl was named Louisiana Tech's first CUSA Newcomer of the Year, marking the only time the 'Dogs have had consecutive seasons boasting a player with a superlative award as a CUSA member. The Azle, Texas native is the first Bulldog to reach 100 strikeouts in less than 90 innings, with his 102 punchouts ranked as the eighth-most in a single season in program history.
Lunsford was one of three Bulldogs to bat at least .300 with at least 70 hits on the year, leading the team with 21 doubles, which ranked third in CUSA and was among the top 30 in NCAA Division I. He led the team with 52 runs scored and his 43 RBI were the second-most behind Hawsey. He stole six bases on nine attempts and was one of three Diamond 'Dogs with double-digit homers.
