Inside Bulldog Football Returns to Rotolo's for 2026 Season

Kyle Schassburger and Sonny Cumbie team up alongside guest coaches and players
RUSTON | Inside Bulldog Football returns to Rotolo's Craft & Crust for the 2026 season, giving Louisiana Tech fans another way to get closer to the Bulldogs and stay connected throughout the program's first season in the Sun Belt Conference.
The weekly coaches show will once again feature Louisiana Tech head coach Sonny Cumbie alongside the "Voice of the Bulldogs" Kyle Schassburger, with special appearances from Bulldog assistant coaches, staff members, and student-athletes throughout the season.
Fans are encouraged to make Inside Bulldog Football part of their game week by grabbing dinner at Rotolo's and hearing directly from the coaches and student-athletes preparing to represent the Bulldogs each Saturday. Those in attendance will have opportunities to interact with the show, submit questions for Cumbie and the week's guests, and win door prizes.
"Inside Bulldog Football is one more opportunity to bring our fans closer to our program and the people who represent it," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Ryan Ivey. "We want our fans to feel like they are part of the journey, and that means creating opportunities to connect and engage beyond game day. Whether you're joining us at Rotolo's, listening on the radio, or following along throughout the week, we want there to always be a way to be involved and connected to Louisiana Tech Athletics."
Each show at Rotolo's will begin at 6 p.m. and run for one hour. For Louisiana Tech students, every Inside Bulldog Football show will also serve as a Blue Bloods Loyal Blue Points opportunity, providing another way to earn points while supporting the Bulldogs.
2026 INSIDE BULLDOG FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
There will be no shows during the final two weeks of the regular season due to Thanksgiving and basketball conflicts. The Dec. 3 show is scheduled in anticipation of postseason football and is contingent upon Louisiana Tech earning bowl eligibility or hosting the Sun Belt Conference Championship Game.
Fans unable to make it to Rotolo's can follow Inside Bulldog Football across the Louisiana Tech Sports Network on KNBB 97.7 FM in Ruston, KDBS 94.7 FM/1410 AM in Alexandria and through the LA Tech Athletics app.
FOLLOW THE BULLDOGS ON GAME DAY
Schassburger enters his second season as the "Voice of the Bulldogs" and will once again team with Louisiana Tech Hall of Famer Teddy Allen in the radio booth for the 2026 season.
Allen, a member of the Louisiana Tech Classes of 1982 and 1984, returns for his 16th season as color analyst and has been on the headset for more than 180 Bulldog games. Former Tech offensive lineman Jerry Byrd (Class of 1995) enters his fifth season providing coverage from the sidelines, while Tech alumni Bennie Thornell (Class of 1968) returns for his 41st season as the crew's statistician and Elton Taylor (Classes of 2014 and 2016) enters his ninth season as engineer.
Louisiana Tech fans can tune into Bulldog Football broadcasts on flagship station KXKZ 107.5 FM, which has served as the radio home of Bulldog Football since 1998. Fans in Alexandria can follow on KDBS 94.7 FM and 1410 AM, while Baton Rouge listeners can hear the Bulldogs on 97.7 FM. Every Bulldog radio broadcast is also available through the LA Tech Athletics app.
The Louisiana Tech Sports Network will begin each game day with a 90-minute pregame show leading into kickoff and conclude with a 30-minute postgame show.
