Box Score 4 ARLINGTON, Texas - After starting the season 2-0 with a sweep of Centenary last Sunday, Louisiana Tech's softball team will receive a stauncher test Friday when the Lady Techsters face defending national champion Oklahoma in pool play of the 8th Annual Texas-Arlington/ISUZU Intercollegiate Classic.
Head Coach Bill Galloway's squad will also face Brigham Young and Texas-San Antonio during first day action of the 18-team tournament.
Freshman pitcher Lindsey Meadows (2-0, 1.00 ERA) will see the majority of the action on the mound for the Lady Techsters as the Baker, La., native allowed only five hits and two walks in 14 innings against Centenary while striking out 18.
"There is no question we will really be tested this weekend," Galloway said. "There are some great teams in this tournament, and we will have to play well in all areas to be successful."
Tech will face Oklahoma at 9 a.m., followed by BYU at 11:15 a.m. and Texas-San Antonio at 3:45 p.m. at Mike Lewis Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Following Friday's action teams will be seeded according to their record and a double-elimination tournament will take place Saturday and Sunday.
