MONROE -- The final day of the Louisiana-Monroe Mardi Gras Classic has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Louisiana Tech was scheduled to face San Jose State at 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning in its first game of championship play.

Head coach Sarah Dawson's squad finished the tournament in third place with a 2-2 overall mark, posting wins over Southern Miss and UL-Monroe Saturday.

Tech returns to action this weekend at the Baylor Invitational in Waco. The tournament includes Top 5 power Arizona. Tech's first game will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. against Sam Houston State.
