HUNTSVILLE, Texas ? Louisiana Tech fell twice Sunday in the second day of the Domino?s Pizza Classic hosted by Sam Houston State.

The Lady Techsters (0-4) lost 11-2 to Sam Houston State and 9-6 to North Texas.
Sophomore Lesley Aycock (0-2) picked up the loss against the Bearkats, allowing 11 runs, eight earned, on 12 hits and three walks in 4.0 innings of work.

Sam Houston scored four in the first, two in the second, three in the third and two more in the fourth as the game was called after five innings.

Tech scored both of its runs in the top of the third inning. Christine Echols led the frame off by reaching on an error before Danielle Sheridan laid down a bunt single. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch and with two outs, Echols scored on a passed ball before Sheridan scored on a wild pitch.

Jessica Elson and Sheridan led Tech offensively with a hit a piece.

In game No. 2 of the day, Ashley Cameron belted two home runs but it wasn?t enough as the Techsters fell to the Mean Geen.

Louisiana Tech led 1-0 after the first as Emma Barnes led off with a double and scored one out later on an error by North Texas. The game remained 1-0 until the top of the fourth inning when North Texas exploded for seven runs on seven hits and one Louisiana Tech error.

After NT made it 8-1 in the top of the fifth, the Lady Techsters answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame. Cameron and junior Carly White each registered two-run home runs in the fame.

North Texas added a run in the sixth to make it 9-5 before Cameron finished out the scoring for Tech with a solo home run leading off the bottom of the seventh inning.

Barnes, Cameron, and Lianne Albert each registered two hits in the game while Cameron led Tech with three runs batted in.

Krissi Oliver picked up the loss, allowing nine runs ? seven earned ? on 10 hits and three walks in seven innings of work.

Tech returns to action Tuesday when it travels to Grambling State for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
