BATON ROUGE--The Louisiana Tech bowling team finished day one of the SWAC Round-Up Friday with a perfect 4-0 record.

"I'm real pleased with the way the girls performed today," Tech head coach Shawn Jackson said. "What we need to focus on now is staying consistent as a team throughout the entire tournament."

The Techsters ended day one of the tournament after defeating Alabama State, Texas Southern, Grambling State and Arkansas Pine Bluff and will now prepare to face three ranked opponents on Saturday in No. 11 Alabama A&M, No. 12 Southern University and No. 14 Jackson State.

"Saturday is going to be the challenge for us," said Jackson. "I think we're ready for it though. We had three girls bowl over 200 today. If we can stay consistent then we will do well."
