Bulldog Bowling Unveils 2025-26 Schedule

Bulldogs Aim to Reach Sixth Straight NCAA Regional in 2025-26

RUSTON – With 30 days until the season starts, Louisiana Tech head bowling coach Matt Nantais announced the 2025-26 Bulldog Bowling schedule Thursday, featuring 11 regular season tournaments. Nantais enters his 10th season leading the program after guiding the Bulldogs to a fifth straight NCAA Regional appearance last season.

"Every year, coaches say how excited they are about the upcoming season—and usually, it's more of the same," stated Nantais. "This year, though, I genuinely mean it. We're facing the toughest schedule we've had in the last nine years, and I'm looking forward to the challenge."

LA Tech opens the 2025-26 season at the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (SWIBC) I and II in Dallas on Oct. 4-5. The Bulldogs have won the event each of the last three seasons and will look to defend their title at this year's event.

The Bulldogs begin NCAA competition Oct. 24-26 at Destination Orlando, hosted by Sacred Heart. It marks the Bulldogs' second straight season opening NCAA play at Destination Orlando.

Nantais and his squad will make the trip to Houston a week later Oct. 31-Nov. 2 to compete in the Track Kat Klash, hosted by Sam Houston at Emerald Bowl.

LA Tech will remain in Texas the following weekend by hosting the Bulldog Classic on Nov. 7-9 at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth, Texas. The Bulldogs will close out 2025 with a trip to Harahan, La., to play in the Colonial Lanes Classic, hosted by Tulane from Nov. 21-23.

LA Tech will return to the lanes in early 2026 with a trip to New Castle, Del., for the Northeast Classic on Jan. 16–18. It will mark the second event hosted by Sacred Heart that the Bulldogs will compete in.

The Bulldogs will make their fourth trip of the season to Texas Jan. 23-25 to play in the Prairie View Invitational in Arlington. Tech will close out January by competing in the Columbia 300 Saints Invite on Jan. 29-31 in St. Louis, Mo.

Tech will have just one tournament in February, the Big Red Invite, Feb. 20-22 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

LA Tech will travel to Smyrna, Tenn., on Mar. 6-8 to play in the Music City Classic, followed by the USBC ITC Sectional Mar. 13-15.

Postseason play begins with the Conference USA Championships in Harahan, Louisiana, Mar. 21-23. The Bulldogs will aim to advance to the NCAA Regionals for a sixth consecutive season, Apr. 2-4.

"What really has me excited isn't just the competition—it's the group of players we have this season," echoed Nantais. "This team is deep. On any given day, anyone on our roster can step up and perform, which makes my job both exciting and difficult when it comes to setting the lineup each week. That kind of internal competition is exactly what drives a team to get better."
