RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech Bowling team earned a 9
th place ranking in the 2025-26 National Tenpin Coaches Association Preseason Poll, announced by the organization on Wednesday.
LA Tech received 1,174 points and is one of eight Conference USA programs ranked in the top 10.
"It's always an honor to be ranked in the top 10 in the preseason poll, but rankings don't mean much until we prove ourselves on the lanes," stated head coach
Matt Nantais. "Our first event this weekend will be a great opportunity to see where we stand as a team. From there, we'll have a few weeks before our next competition to fine-tune anything we need to improve. We're focused, motivated, and ready to get to work!"
This marks the eighth straight season the Bulldogs have earned a preseason ranking and the sixth consecutive season they have been ranked in the top 10.
The Bulldogs finished last season with an 84-47 record, earning their fifth straight NCAA regional appearance. LA Tech ended the year ranked No. 11 in the country.

Nantais added two transfers from SFA in
Juliana Kerrigan and
Frances Davila, while
Olivia Bares and
Kyrah Durham join the team from the high school ranks.
LA Tech opens the 2025-26 season at the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference I and II in Fort Worth, Texas, on Oct. 4-5.
