MEMPHIS -- Corey Bartlett shot a two-round total of 152 to lead Louisiana Tech in the rain-shortened Memphis Intercollegiate held at Colonial Country Club Monday.
Tuesday's third and final round was cancelled due to rain.
The Bulldogs struggled as a team during the opening round held Monday morning as Tech shot a team total of 314 with Bartlett's 76 being the team's top score.
Tech shaved 12 strokes off its team total in Monday afternoon's second round but finished 15th out of 16 teams at the event.
"The course was playing tough and it was windy but it was the same for everyone," said Tech head coach Jean Hall. "I was proud of Cody Santone's second round 73. It just wasn't a good day of golf for us."
Santone, a true freshman, finished tied for 44th with a total of 153. Clinton Shepard (T55th, 155), Matthew Harvey (T69th, 158) and Amrith de Soysa (T69th, 158) rounded out the scoring for Tech.
Ohio State won the team event with a two-round total of 588 followed by Memphis (591), Mississippi State (594), Louisville (597) and Maryland (599).
Ohio State's Vaughn Snyder won the individual honors with a six-under-par 138.
Tech hosts the Squire Creek Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday as an impressive 16-team field is set, including LSU, Ole Miss, Nebraska and Louisville.
