RUSTON - Louisiana Tech students and fans wanting to get their first look at this year's Bulldog and Lady Techster basketball teams will have the opportunity on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. during the LA Tech Basketball Bonanza Meet-N-Greet.

For the second consecutive year, the athletic department is planning this fun-filled night at the Thomas Assembly Center that will start with the Celebrity Media Basketball game at 6:15 p.m. as local media members hoop it up on the hardwood.

Starting at 7 p.m. both the Bulldog and Lady Techster players and coaches will be introduced and each team will conduct intra-squad scrimmages giving Tech fans a glimpse of this year's talent.

In addition to the scrimmages, various competitions will be held including a dunk contest and three-point shootout where the winners will choose a student organization to receive a $25 gift card to the Dawg House Sports Grill and the TechTeamShop.com.

Other interactive skill competitions involving student organizations will also be held in conjunction with the teams as prizes will be awarded.

The event will consist of performances and appearances by the Hoop Troop, Tech cheerleaders, Regal Blues, Champ and Tech XX. A moonwalk will also be set up on the concourse level for children.

The night will end with an autograph session by both teams. Admission is free and Aramark will be providing free popcorn and drinks.
