DENVER -- After finishing fifth at the 2009 Mobile Bay Intercollegiate last week, Louisiana Tech junior Matthew Harvey was named WAC Golfer of the Week by the conference for March 23-29.

Harvey shot a seven-over par 223 (79-73-71) to steadily move up the leader board each day, and his final round of 71 was tied for the best of the day by the field. Louisiana Tech finished seventh in the 16-team field that also included New Mexico State.

The Bulldogs participated in the UALR/First Tee Collegiate Classic Monday and Tuesday. Check back with latechsports.com for final results when they are made available.
