Looking to Continue the Championship Run
â-º The Lady Techsters enter this indoor season looking for the team's fifth Western Athletic Conference championship in the past six years. If LA Tech can win this year's WAC title, it will be the longest run of consecutive championships (three straight) since BYU won five consecutive indoor titles from 1995-1999.

Outdoors, the Lady Techsters have won five consecutive WAC titles. LA Tech could win its sixth straight this season in homecoming fashion as Louisiana Tech will host the 2010 WAC Outdoor Championships. The longest streak of consecutive WAC titles belongs to BYU, who won nine consecutive titles when they were a member of the Western Athletic Conference.

Deep in the Heart of Texas
â-º Louisiana Tech's trip to southeastern Texas this weekend marks the return of several Tech athletes to the Lone Star State, including Jack Ramstad, Billy Walker, Kia Vance and Marcelles Atkinson.

Dean of the Coaches
â-º Louisiana Tech head coach Gary Stanley is often considered the dean of the coaches in the state and in the WAC as he enters his 22nd season as head coach at Louisiana Tech. Stanley has amassed 17 Coach of the Year titles and he has guided Tech teams to 20 conference championships in four different conferences.
