RUSTON – The Bulldog track & field team secured seven All-Conference honorees following the CUSA Indoor Championships, including three First Team All-CUSA selections for the second-straight indoor season. Louisiana Tech now has three-straight indoor seasons of at least seven athletes and relay teams being named to an All-Conference team.
Sabastian Bradley-Reed secured his second consecutive individual championship in the men's 400, becoming the first male runner for LA Tech to record consecutive gold medals in the event. He ran the second-fastest time in indoor program history, clocking 46.65 in the final round, just .05 seconds shy of tying his own program record that was set earlier in the 2026 indoor season.
Jamara Patterson won the women's 400, posting a second-straight championship for Tech in the event following
Osaretin Joy Usenbor's first-place performance at the 2025 CUSA Indoor Championships. Her time of 52.66 in the event set a new program record, breaking her previous record of 53.11 that was set at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas on February 13.
A'reil Williams was the third First Team All-CUSA selection for the Bulldogs, winning the high jump at 1.77 meters, just shy of tying her program record of 1.78 that she set in Fayetteville during the 2024 season. It was her third career podium finish, second gold medal, and the first time she won gold in the high jump during the indoor season.
Cobe Johnson won silver in the men's long jump for the second-straight indoor season, leaping 7.40 meters to secure his second consecutive Second Team All-CUSA recognition. Both the men's and women's 4x400 relay teams were named Third Team All-CUSA recipients after each squad won bronze during conference competition.
The men's squad was made up with
Rickey Williams III,
Cullen Hronek, Prentice Sanders and Bradley-Reed, posting a time of 3:11.02 for the third-fastest relay time for the men in indoor program history. The women comprised of
Nia Wiley,
Jenaia Williams, Usenbor and Patterson, and secured a podium finish with a time of 3:39.29.
Usenbor was also named to the All-CUSA Third Team with a bronze medal won in the women's 400 with a time of 54.06, her second-fastest time of the season after recording a season-best 53.94 during the preliminary round.
The Bulldogs now look ahead to the outdoor slate of the 2026 season, opening up at the LSU Opener in Baton Rouge on Saturday, March 21.
