FAYETTEVILLE -- Southern Illinois-Edwardsville scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat Louisiana Tech 7-5 Saturday in the first game of the Arkansas Razorback Invitational.

Arkansas grabbed a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a two-run single by Stephanie Brewer with two outs in the inning. Brewer's single came with the bases loaded as Krieg walked two batters and hit a third.

The Razorbacks added three more runs in the fourth inning as a walk and a hit batter put runners on first and second before Sandra Smith homered to centerfield with two outs, giving Arkansas a 5-0 advantage.
