RUSTON - Louisiana Tech will face its toughest test of the fall season Monday and Tuesday when the 75th ranked Bulldog golf team competes in the 2011 David Toms Intercollegiate hosted by LSU at Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport.

Head coach Jeff Parks and Co. will join an 11-team field that includes 33rd ranked LSU, 94th ranked Kansas State, 82nd ranked Lamar, 49th ranked Louisiana-Lafayette, 51st ranked Mississippi State, 57th ranked Oklahoma, 58th ranked Ole Miss, 84th ranked South Alabama, 53rd ranked SMU and 32nd ranked Tulsa.

Tech, which is coming off a second-place finish at the 13-team Squire Creek Invitational two weeks ago, will take its five-member team to the event, including Jack Lempke, Cody Santone, Sam Forgan, Travis Wilmore and Patrick Blunt who all qualified for the event last week.

Forgan (72.8) and Santone (72.8) both enter the competition boasting the top scoring averages of the five-some while Lempke (73.3), Wilmore (73.3) and Blunt (73.7)

The event will include 36 holes on Monday followed by the final 18 holes Tuesday morning played at the 7,048-yard, par 72 course located in Shreveport.

Tech will be paired with Oklahoma and SMU during the opening day of competition. Live scoring of the event can be followed at www.golfstat.com.
