WACO, Texas - Baylor sent a total of 10 batters to the plate in the third inning and scored six runs on six hits highlighted by a Josh Ludy three-run homer to left center to knock off Louisiana Tech, 6-2, Sunday afternoon at Baylor Ballpark. The sweep marked the fifth-straight loss for the Bulldogs and the first sweep in a four-game series since Tech fell at New Mexico State last season.

Jeb Stefan (2-2) made quick work of the Baylor lineup in the first two innings but allowed a leadoff single followed by a walk and moved both runners into scoring position after a wild pitch before Logan Vick singled to right to give the Bears a two run lead.

Chris Slater reached on an RBI fielder's choice that retired Vick at second base for the first out of the inning. Max Muncy advanced Slater to second with a base knock through the right side and both Bears were brought in as Josh Ludy powered a first pitch fastball to left center for a three-run homer that extended the Baylor lead to six runs.

Stefan dropped his second consecutive decision after allowing six runs, five of which were earned, on seven hits in 3.0 innings of work.

Baylor starter Josh Turley (1-1) took a shutout into the eighth inning before the Bulldogs finally were able to break through on the scoreboard.

Turley allowed a leadoff walk to Tyler Qualls followed by a bunt single from Corey White to put two runners on base with no outs for the Bulldogs. After retiring Taylor Terrasas with his career-high seventh strikeout, Turley was relieved of his duties for Max Garner after throwing a career-long 7.1 innings.

Using just one pitch, Garner retired Mark Threlkeld on a groundout to second and left the game for Crayton Bare. With two runners in scoring position, Bare walked Alex Williams to load the bases for pinch hitter Marc Picciola who drove a 1-1 pitch into right field for a two-run single that broke up the Baylor shutout. Bare forced Clint Ewing to fly out to center to end the inning.

Turley picked up his first win of the season after allowing just two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out seven Bulldogs and retiring 11-straight batters at one point during the outing.

Southpaw Kyle Roliard entered the game on the mound in the fourth inning and put together a quality relief performance, holding the Bears to just two hits over 4.0 innings of work while tallying two strikeouts.

Louisiana Tech (8-7) will look to snap a five-game losing streak as the Bulldogs continue their eight game road swing with a stop at UT Arlington Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. CST.

Notes: Louisiana Tech is now 3-8 all-time against Baylor... The Bulldogs have now dropped five-straight games for the first time since the Bulldogs dropped seven games in a row last March... Mark Threlkeld has made 87 consecutive starts in a Bulldog uniform... Corey White made his first career start... Marc Picciola tallied his first career RBI as he drove in two runs with a pinch hit at-bat in the eighth inning... Kyle Roliard's 4.0 innings in relief was a career-long outing... Joey Ford tallied his eighth multiple hit performance of the season.
