LITTLE ROCK - The Louisiana Tech Bulldog golf team will compete in the 2011 UALR/First Team Intercollegiate Classic Monday and Tuesday at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock.

Head coach Jeff Parks and the Bulldogs will be one of 17 teams participating in the event which will include two rounds on Monday and the final 18 holes played Tuesday at the par 72, 7,221-yard course.

In addition to Tech, the field will consist of UALR, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Illinois State, Iowa State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisville, Missouri, UMKC, Missouri State, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Miss and Western Kentucky.

Southeastern Louisiana won the event last year with a team total of 865 while the Bulldogs finished eighth out of 18 teams.

Tech is coming off a second place finish at the Bulldog Classic hosted at Squire Creek Country Club two weeks ago.
