Head coach Michael White post-game quotes

Opening Statement:

"We were solid offensively and we did just enough. Jaron Johnson had a phenomenal game. Twenty offensive rebounds gave us a chance offensively and also we caused turnovers. Offensively, I thought we were average and defensively I thought we were very good. Every night this team has to hang their hat on defensive effort, even with Raheem out. I thought down the stretch we were good in the zone, and we do not zone very much."

On what sparked the 22-0 run:

"It may have been when Kenyon [McNeail] made that three and got the crowd going a little bit. Kenyon has not had very many open looks as the season goes on and that is one of his strengths and one of our strengths with him in the game. We had some open interior looks and they are long and athletic so we came up empty on some trips where we usually come away with some points."

On the growth of Michale Kyser

"I hope that it continues and I always had faith that he could play at that level. Teams will be gunning for him. He is a talented guy who continues to progress and continues to gain maturity and confidence."

On being able to have offensive sparks:

"It is just the team that we are. I have good players. We are good in the open floor and we are a team that makes runs. We rely a lot on causing turnovers. The work in progress is being able to score consistently in half court versus man and zone. It is who we are and we have to work on preventing those droughts."
