Oct. 30, 2015 RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech is set to travel to Bowling Green, Kentucky to compete in the Conference USA Championships on Saturday morning, hosted by Western Kentucky at Kereiakes Park.
The 8,000-meter men's race is set to begin at 9 a.m. and will be followed by the women's 5K at 10 a.m. Admission to the C-USA Championships is free to the general public.
The Bulldogs will have their hands full going up against 10 other conference schools, which includes UTEP who sits at No. 11 in the USTFCCCA National Poll. Looking to lead the Bulldogs will be Logan Pearce who has recorded two top-three finishes during the season.
The Lady Techsters will be led by Colorado natives Hayley Berg and Kacie Kaufman, who both recorded a top-three finish at the Mook Triple-Duals back in September. The women's side will feature a talented field that includes 12 other C-USA schools. Rice, Southern Miss, North Texas and UTSA all rank in the top-12 of the USTFCCCA Regional Rankings.
