RUSTON -- Due to the weather forecast calling for showers and cold temperatures during the weekend, Louisiana Tech's previously scheduled home softball tournament has been revised.

Instead of hosting the four-team, three-day event which would have consisted of 10 games, the Lady Techsters will host Lamar in a three-game series starting with a doubleheader Friday at 1 p.m.

The third game of the series is scheduled for Saturday (weather-permitting) but a game-time won't be decided until Friday afternoon.

The Lady Techsters enter the three-game series with a 7-5 record after defeating Grambling State 8-0 on Wednesday. Lamar is 3-6 on the season after dropping four straight games last weekend at the Mississippi State Tournament.

LA Tech defeated Lamar 13-11 in eight innings in Starkville last weekend.
