RUSTON, La. - Victor Lange has been on the cusp of a medal for most of the season, finishing second in three separate events and third in another. Starting Monday, the 47th-ranked individual in the country will get another shot when Louisiana Tech opens play at the UALR First Tee Collegiate Classic in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Chenal Country Club will be the site of this week's action on the par-27, 7,100-yard Bear Den course. The tournament starts with an 8 a.m. shotgut start for Monday's 36 holes and will wrap up with an 8 a.m. shotgun start for 18 holes to be played Tuesday.

Lange and the Bulldogs will face a challenging field including the host Trojans which beat Louisiana Tech at last week's Wallace Jones Warhawk Invitational.

Other teams in action include Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Indian Hills Community College, Lipscomb, Louisiana-Monroe, McNeese State, Memphis, Missouri State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, Southern Miss, Stephen F. Austin, Tulsa and UT-Martin.

Lange will lead the team group of himself, Ben Robinson, Chuck Spears, Mitchell Haddox and John Lewis Sams while Ryan Alford will be competing as an individual in a tournament hosting 16 teams and 10 individuals for a total field of 90 players.
