Head coach Jeff Jenkins
"Yesterday we had very little wind here with soft conditions versus today the wind was blowing 15-plus miles per hour, the temperature was probably 20 degrees less this morning with some rain and the golf course was totally different than two days ago during our practice round. The wind was blowing in totally opposite directions. But we knew that. We talked to the guys about that so we were prepared for it. We knew today was going to be a challenge and I felt like the guys did a great job. We kind of limped in there a little bit at the end but overall I thought they did a great job."
On Mitchell Haddox's up-and-down round:
"To play 3-under golf the way he did for nine holes in the conditions we had this morning, I would venture to say possibly almost nobody shot that well on that side. It was unbelievable playing to start his round but he did have a couple hiccups there in a stretch. On holes one through six there are some difficult holes and a couple teams are going to lose some shots, especially on six where it is a 220-yard par-three. I am not shocked to see him lose a couple shots but he hung in there and made a birdie on seven, so he did a good job for us."
On finishing strong:
"I know Ben struggled and hit a tee shot into the trees on nine and made double bogey but besides that we had a bunch of pars on nine and I think a bunch of pars on eight so I think we did okay finishing the round today."
Goals for tomorrow's final round:
"I think we are going to be around 10-plus shots out of the cut so we are going to have to have a special day tomorrow. I've seen teams come back from 15shots in one round so it is far from over. We have a third of the golf left so if we can have a special day tomorrow, we can get it done."
On focus for tomorrow:
"We have to focus on one shot at a time. It is a big cliché but that is ultimately what it comes down to. If we are great on each and every shot, it will add up to what we want it to."
On Tuesday's weather forecast:
"It could be very much like today [Monday]. There are thunderstorms potentially, strong wind -- but in the same direction so we will be prepared for that as far as the wind goes -- and a lot of what we saw today, we should see tomorrow."

Junior Victor Lange
"It was a tough day today. The wind was obviously up and we had some rain in the morning. They actually moved the tee times back 30 minutes due to the inclement weather so it was tough conditions, to be honest with you. I felt like if I could have just made a few more putts I would have done better but it was a good round today."
On finishing strong:
"I'm in ninth. It hasn't been my best but I'm still in the top 10. There is still a third of the golf left so a good performance tomorrow and I could shoot up the leaderboard and that makes it a good week, really. Not what I wanted for this week but that's how it goes."
On being only six strokes back of the leader:
"I just checked the weather for tomorrow and it is going to be about 13 miles per hour winds with some rain so if I can shoot somewhere around 67 or 66, I will be right there and it will be fun.
On if that low of a round is possible in the forecasted weather:
"IT definitely is. It is a score-able golf course, really. Even though the conditions were tough today, I felt like it was a score-able golf course out there and I feel like I am fairly capable of doing that."
On events of Monday's round:
"It was a crazy two days, I would say. Garrison [Lackey], the player from UTSA, had a hole-in-one on the second hole of the day. He just holed it and that was awesome for him. Then a few holes later the wind blew a massive tree over just 40 yards behind me. It is pretty crazy. I have never seen anything like that happen."
On refocusing for the final round:
"I just assess today, gameplan-wise, on where I could have done better and where I need to keep doing the same thing. Today is over and you have to leave it in the past and focus on tomorrow. I will just try hard to shoot the lowest possible number tomorrow."
