May 30, 2015 NORMAN, Okla. - After a banner season in which he set several school records, Louisiana Tech junior Victor Lange has been honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America by receiving PING All-Central Region Team honors the GCAA announced Saturday.
Lange is one of only two Conference USA golfers to be recognized by the GCAA with All-Region honors along with UAB's Martin Rohwer. Lange was named the league's Golfer of the Year and received first team all-conference honors earlier this month.
A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Lange carded a school record 71.39 season stroke average this season and tied a school and state collegiate record with his 62 round (10-under-par) at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate in October. Louisiana Tech and LSU were the only two programs from Louisiana to receive all-region selections.
Lange finished the year tied for 22nd at the NCAA Lubbock Regional, carding an even-par 213 over the three-round event. He entered the regional tournament ranked 80th in the nation as an individual.
