Oct. 27, 2016 RUSTON ââ'¬" The Louisiana Tech tennis team will play in its fourth and final fall tournament this weekend as they travel north to participate in the Missouri State Fall Invite at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
For the first this fall, LA Tech will have all eight of its players competing in the tournament with the eight playing in singles, including junior transfer Angela Lorenzo who will see action for the first time as a Lady Techster.
In doubles, there will be four pairings ââ'¬" Jazmin Britos/Marta Sramkova, Sonia Chen/Alba Escalona Perny, Haley Ballinger and Jill van den Dungen and Nadja Manjon/Lorenzo.
The event will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. with the first round of doubles followed by two rounds of singles. On Saturday, two rounds of doubles start things off followed by the conclusion of singles.
Main draw and consolation singles matches will be two out of three sets with a 10-point tiebreaker for the third set. Main draw and consolation doubles will be one 6-game set with a 7-point tiebreaker at 6-games all.
Along with the host school Missouri State, LA Tech will also be competing against Central Arkansas, SEMO, Arkansas and Evangel University.
