EL DORADO, Ark. -- Junior Luke Neeley shot a three-round total of 225 to tie for 14th overall and lead the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at the Duck Commander Intercollegiate hosted by UL-Monroe at Mystic Creek Golf Course.
Neeley (77-75-73) improved his score all three rounds on a golf course that proved more than a challenge to the 60-man field, yielding only one three-round total in red figures. Arkansas State's Tanner Napier was the lone competitor to shoot below par, winning the event with a five-under-par total of 211.
Fifty-eight of the 60 competitors finished three over or higher.
Arkansas State won the team competition with a three-round team total of 31-over-par (895). LA Tech finished eighth place with a total of 921.
Neeley's final round 73 was tied for the fifth best score on Tuesday while the Bulldogs third round team total of 304 was the third best of the day behind Arkansas State (303) and 44th ranked Oregon State (303).
Hunter Glenn (76-78-78) was Tech's next best finisher at the final competition of the fall, finishing 26th overall with a three-round total of 232. Joacim Ahlund (81-77-78=236) tied for 32nd, Karsten Green (78-75-84=237) tied for 35th and Felix Palson (86-82-75=243) tied for 50th.
Arkansas State won the event followed by Stephen F. Austin (897), UALR (900), ULM (901), Oregon State (904), UT Arlington (912), Southeastern Louisiana (916), LA Tech (921), Houston Baptist (934) and Nicholls State (936).
