RUSTON -- Louisiana Tech senior forward Kathryn Sloan was one of 13 players selected to the Preseason All-Conference USA Team, announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Sloan, a two-time all-conference honoree, heads into the 2016 season on pace to break numerous career records at LA Tech including most shots, goals and points.

The Kansas City, Missouri native has led the Lady Techsters in goals every year, including nine goals this past season when she helped the team to a 12-8-1 overall record and a qualifying spot in the C-USA Tournament for a second straight year.

The striker is one of six returning starters on a squad that was picked 11th (out of 14) in the preseason poll which was also selected by the league head coaches.

The Techsters report for fall camp on Friday, Aug. 5. The season opener takes place two weeks later on Aug. 19 with a home match versus Murray State.
