Jan. 22, 2017 TUCSON, Ariz. - Louisiana Tech's golf team will begin its spring season by returning to the site of the program's first NCAA Regional appearance last spring when the Bulldogs compete in the Arizona Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday in Tucson, Arizona.
The two-day tournament will be held at Sewailo Golf Club and hosted by the Arizona Wildcats. Competition is set to begin at 9 a.m. CT on Monday with 36 holes played on the first day and 18 played on Tuesday.
LA Tech, led by third-year head coach Jeff Jenkins, will compete against an impressive 17-team field, including two programs ranked in the top 25 by in No. 8 Texas A&M and the No. 20-ranked Oregon Ducks, who won the 2016 National Championship.
Charles Neel White will be the lone upperclassmen representing the Bulldogs at the Arizona Intercollegiate when play begins on Monday, while he will be joined by sophomores Hunter Glenn and Jacob Wyatt and freshmen Joacim Ahlund and Felix Palson.
The last time the Bulldogs were in action on the golf course was the beginning of November in the Duck Commander Intercollegiate hosted by UL-Monroe. In that tournament, Glenn finished 26th overall with a three-round total of 232, while Ahlund tied for 32nd with a score of 236 and Palson tied for 50th (243).
