Louisiana Tech scored six runs in the bottom of the eighth, sparked by a three-run home run from Jordan Washam in a 7-4 victory over UAB that clinched the weekend series.

Jordan Washam and Marshall Boggs both picked up three hits in the win, while Jordan picked up three RBI on one swing of the bat. Boggs' lone RBI gave LA Tech its first lead of the game.

Raphael Gladu scored two runs and also picked up multiple hits for the second consecutive day.

Brent Diaz was hit by a pitch twice in the win, moving his season total up to 18 which set a new Louisiana Tech single-season record for hit-by-pitch.

On the mound, Kyle Griffen picked up his third win of the season, but also his third win this week alone. Griffen picked up a win over #23 McNeese on Tuesday night, another on the road at Little Rock on Wednesday night and then his final win of the week Sunday afternoon.

The freshman lefty tossed four innings, struck out five and allowed just three hits.

Kent Hasler picked up his fourth save of the season tossing a scoreless ninth.

The win marks three consecutive series victories for Louisiana Tech in Conference USA action, and things did not look well early as UAB led 2-0 after just four pitches and eventually stretched their lead to 4-1 after seven innings.

The Bulldogs didn't back down though and put up a six-spot in the eighth.

Ullrich opened things up with a single to center and Dalton Skelton drew a one-out walk. That brought the tying run to the plate and Jordan Washam parked an 0-1 pitch beyond the wall in right for a game-tying, three-run shot.

The 'Dogs wouldn't stop there though, Gladu reached first via a hit and Brent Diaz was hit by a pitch. Marshall Boggs gave Louisiana Tech its first lead of the game with an RBI-single to left field. Following a walk to Chase Lunceford, Jonathan Washam delivered a two-RBI single up the middle to plate both Diaz and Boggs.

Louisiana Tech will now have a week off, before returning to the diamond on Friday afternoon at 6 p.m., playing host to Conference USA-foe WKU.
