RUSTON, La. – The 2018 Louisiana Tech cross country schedule has been announced with a new season set to kick off in just over two weeks on Aug. 31.

The Bulldogs will compete in a total of six events this fall, while the women are slated for five events over the course of September and October. Both squads, led by head coach
Gary Stanley, will compete in the 2018 Conference USA Championships on Oct. 27 in Boca Raton, Florida.

LA Tech's men will open the 2018 cross country season on Aug. 31 when the Bulldogs travel to compete in the South Alabama Challenge of Champions meet in Mobile, Alabama.

On Saturday, Sept. 15, the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters will combine to host the Louisiana Tech Mook 4 Invitational at Tech Farm in Ruston starting at 8:30 a.m. with the men's 4-mile race, followed by the women's 4k at 9:15 a.m. Admission to LA Tech's home cross country event will be free for all spectators.

The next week, the men's team will travel to College Station, Texas, to race in the Texas A&M Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 22, while the women will spend the weekend of Sept. 29 in Lake Charles competing in the McNeese Cowboy Stampede.

Both squads will reunite for the final two regular season meets of the campaign on Oct. 5 at the Southern Arkansas Lois Davis Invitational (Magnolia, Ark.) and on Oct. 13 at the Mississippi College Invitational (Clinton, Miss.).
