RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech's baseball team will close its practices to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Diamond Dogs begin official practice in preparation for its 2021 season this Friday.
The Bulldogs look forward to seeing fans back at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park beginning on Feb. 26 against Southern. The new ballpark's season opener will be the first home game held on campus since April 23, 2019, when Tech defeated Little Rock 5-4.
Earlier this week, head coach
Lane Burroughs and the LA Tech baseball program announced changes to its 56-game 2021 schedule. LA Tech will host 31 home games in its first year in the new J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park, keeping its five home contests against SEC opponents Arkansas (March 12-14) and Ole Miss (March 16-17).
