Baseball Announces Home Game Day Updates for J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech Athletics has announced updates for baseball game-day procedures for the new J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park prior to the Bulldog home opener against Southern on Feb. 26.

At this time, single-game tickets will not be available due to the combination of a record number of season tickets sales and anticipated state mandates on stadium capacity limitations due to COVID-19. There will be 100 allocated student tickets per game. Students will sit in the right field berm area similar to the old Love Shack.

While single game tickets will not be available to the public, a pair of single game premium seating options are still available. LA Tech fans can either reserve a single game tailgate tent down the first base line or reserve the home plate television suite in the Love Shack. Both attendance options provide 10 total tickets and are available on a first come, first purchase basis.

Only one single game tailgate tent is still available for game-by-game purchase at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park this season. The Love Shack's home plate television suite is currently available for all home games except for the three-game series against Arkansas. The suite is scheduled to be used for television broadcast purposes on March 12-14 against the Razorbacks.

For more information on the home plate television suite and the single game tailgate tent, please contact Macy Gilliland at 318-257-5155 or by email at macy@latech.edu.

All fans, except for students, will enter the stadium from Tech Drive/West Alabama entrance directly behind home plate. Gates will open two hours before first pitch. Gates open for students at the same time, but they will enter by the entrance on Tech Drive by the right field foul pole.

J.C. Love Field suite holders will be allowed to enter their suites 30 minutes prior to first pitch. Suite holders must possess their official Louisiana Tech suite credentials to enter the suites located adjacent to the press box.

To thank season ticket holders for their support of Louisiana Tech's baseball program, stadium replicas will be available by the Arkansas weekend series March 12-14. Members of the LA Tech Athletics' marketing department will staff a table during the Arkansas series where season-ticket holders can claim their replica. One replica stadium per account will be provided.

Other promotional giveaways are scheduled throughout the season. These include felt pennants, rally towels and a T-shirt for LA Tech students. Exact dates for these promotional giveaways are yet to be determined.

Louisiana Tech Baseball's Virtual First Pitch Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 16, and will begin at 7 p.m. The nine-part program will include a word from Louisiana Tech VP and Director of Athletics Eric Wood, an opportunity to meet the 2021 roster, a look at the 2021 Diamond Dogs' hype video and an updated time-lapse of J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.
