TULSA, Oklahoma – For the second straight Saturday, Louisiana Tech swept a road doubleheader from an American Athletic Conference foe.

The Lady Techsters (9-12) defeated Tulsa 3-2 and 10-2 at Collins Family Softball Complex Saturday afternoon as Bre Hernandez and Audrey Pickett picked up complete-game victories.

Tech and Tulsa (8-7) will complete the three-game series Sunday with a single game starting at 12 p.m.

Game 1: LA Tech 3, Tulsa 2

Madie Green's two-out, run-scoring triple in the top of the seventh inning broke a 2-2 tie and led the Lady Techsters to the 3-2 victory in the first game of the day.

Green also added a two-run home run – her first of the season and the first of two on the day – in the top of the fourth inning that gave the Lady Techsters the early 2-0 lead.

In a scoreless game, Zoe Hicks led off the inning with a single and then scored on Green's two-ru shot to straight away centerfield off Tulsa starter Samantha Pochop.

Tulsa fought back, plating two runs in the bottom half of the frame. Aubree Seaney started the inning off with a solo home run and then Kyndal Pirtle tied the game with a two-out triple down the leftfield line.

The game remained tied until the top of the seventh inning. Caroline Easom singled with one out and then one batter later scored on Green's triple to right field.

Hernandez (4-4) picked up the win in the circle, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four.

Audrey Pickett (2-5) picked up the win, allowing two runs on nine hits and three walks while striking out four batters.

For the second straight game, Madie Green got the scoring started as her solo home run down the left field line in the top of the second inning gave Tech ha 1-0 advantage. Amanda Gonzalez drove in a second run with a single through the left side, scoring KB Briley.

Tech upped its advantage to 3-0 in the third inning, plating a run on a double steal attempt as Kara Goff scored from third base. In the top of the fourth inning, Tanjala Smith drove home a run with a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Briley.

Easom came through in the top of the sixth inning with a two-out, two-run single to score Gonzalez and Jordyn Manning and increasing the Tech lead to 6-0.

After Tulsa plated a run in the bottom of the sixth, Tech put the game away with a four-run seventh inning. Olivia Ellingson drove home the first run with a bases loaded walk and then three more runs scored on a error by the Tulsa infield.
