RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech junior golfer
James Swash was voted First Team Academic All-District 6 as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.

Swash, a finance major, has registered a cumulative 3.30 GPA in his three years at Louisiana Tech and is an eight-time AD Honor Roll selection. The junior Bulldog has also made the Dean's List and Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll three times.

The native of Stockton On Tees, England, competed in all 10 events as a junior in the 2020-21 campaign. Swash registered a stroke average of 74.71 over 24 rounds. He shot a season-low 68 in the first round of the Linger Longer Invitational (March 12). Swash placed in the top-15 twice at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate (-1, t-11th) and at the LaTour Intercollegiate (+3, t-15th). He finished the season with eight rounds at or under par.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early August.
