RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech tennis team is back in action on Saturday as they travel to Nacogdoches, Texas to face Stephen F. Austin at 2 p.m. at the Schlief Tennis Complex.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (2-1)
LA Tech returns to the courts after almost a two-week break from its last action, which came in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Hurricane Invite. The Lady Techsters got off to a strong start in dual play, defeating Wyoming (4-3) and Montana State (7-0).

Najah Dawson and
Alexia Romero/Olga Bienzboas – recorded 2-1 records at the two-day event.

In singles, three of the players registered two victories including Schuknecht at the No. 1 spot, Dawson at the No. 4 spot and Tetruashvili at the No. 5 spot.

ABOUT STEPHEN F. AUSTIN (0-0)
After having its spring opener versus Prairie View A&M postponed, Stephen F. Austin begins its season on Friday at home against Texas State before hosting LA Tech on Saturday.

The Ladyjacks put together an 11-10 season last year. Top singles player Paula Cerda returns for SFA after producing nine victories from the top of the lineup a season ago.

THE SERIES
LA Tech has won six straight over SFA, including last season's 4-3 victory in Ruston. In that matchup, the deciding point came down to court four singles where Romero clinched it for the Lady Techsters in straight sets.

The LA Tech-SFA series has been a regular occurrence as the two teams have squared off in 18 of the last 20 years.
