MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – No. 1 Louisiana Tech's postseason run came to an end Friday as the Bulldogs dropped a 4-2 decision to No. 4 Delaware in the Conference USA Women's Tennis Championship semifinals at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Complex.

The match opened with a tightly contested doubles point that ultimately swung in Delaware's (21-4) favor. Â After LA Tech (17-4) secured a win on court three with
June Vigneron and
Mio Kozaki teaming up to take it 6-3, the Blue Hens edged out victories on courts one and two to take the early 1-0 lead.

LA Tech responded quickly in singles with strong showings at the top and bottom of the lineup. Â
Zoie Epps dominated on court one with a convincing 6-2, 6-0 victory over Maryia Hrynashka, while
Isabella Walker followed with a 6-0, 6-4 win on court six against Hanna Vinahradava to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 advantage.

However, momentum shifted as Delaware found its rhythm. Â The Blue Hens went on to secure straight-set victories on courts two, three, and five, rattling off three consecutive points to clinch the match and earn a spot in the championship match.
