Jedlicki Earns Spot on 2022 Junior USA Team

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Louisiana Tech junior bowler Danielle Jedlicki secured her spot on the 2022 Junior USA Team following her impressive showing at the 2022 United States Bowling Congress (USBC) USA Team Trials this past week in Las Vegas, Nev.

Jedlicki was one of just four players to earn an automatic spot on the national junior squad after finishing as the top youth qualifier with 121 points.

"Danielle Jedlicki has had a great showing this past week at the USA Team Trials," said head coach Matt Nantais. "After five amazing days of bowling she qualified for stepladder for the US Amateur where she finished second in the field. She also earned herself a spot on the 2022 Junior Team USA, an amazing accomplishment only few have done. She is now the second team member to earn a spot-on Team USA while here at Louisiana Tech. Danielle is having a stellar season and we are only half way through."

Jedlicki finished the five rounds of competition with a total pinfall of 1,275, joining Kaitlyn Eder as the only two Lady Techsters to ever earn a spot-on Team USA.

This season, Jedlicki has been a consistent force for the Lady Techsters bowling team. The Murfreesboro, Tennessee, native bowled the first-ever perfect game in school history at the SWIBC in Dallas, Texas helping the team finish as tournament champions while also earning all-tournament team and tournament MVP honors.

Fellow teammates Patricia Rosales, Tara Spridco and Averi Brown, also competed admirably at the Team USA Trials. Rosales also placed at the top of the field but just missed making the team with a 11th place finish in the youth division.

The Louisiana Tech women's bowling team resumes their 2021-2022 season later this month at the Prairie View A&M Invitational in Dallas, Texas on Jan. 28-30.
