LA Tech Set to Host Houston Baptist for Three-Game Series

Friday's game has been moved up to 1 p.m. first pitch due to incoming weather
RUSTON, La. – With one more weekend left before conference play, Louisiana Tech is set to host Houston Baptist for a three-game series starting Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (8-5, 0-0 C-USA)
LA Tech is coming off a stellar performance in their midweek matchup, defeating Southeastern at home 13-1. Over the last four games, the Bulldogs have piled up 47 runs.
Cole McConnell is riding a five-game hitting streak going into the series, while hitting an impressive .545 in that stretch.
Bulldog second baseman, Wade Elliott, has found his groove at the plate. Elliott is 7-for-15 in the last four games with two home runs and driving in nine runs.
Jonathan Fincher looks to start the year 4-0 on the mound Friday night. The left-hander has been lights, striking out 26 over just two walks in 17.0 innings pitched.

Former big-leaguer, Lance Berkman, is in his first season as head coach of the Huskies. Berkman is the fifth different head coach at HBU and was hired on May 31, 2021.
Huskie infielder, Jake Miller, leads the squad in batting average (.318). Miller has racked up 14 hits, nine runs scored and one home run through 14 games.
