ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (14-2)
LA Tech extended its record-setting winning streak to 12 this past Saturday with a 4-3 victory over Nicholls State, handing the Colonels their first home loss of the season.  The squad is now 5-1 this season when matches are decided by one point.

For the third time in the last four matches, it was Ilana Tetruashvili providing the clinching point as the senior won in three sets.  She has won five straight singles matches, proving her dual record to 12-3 on the spring.

Tetruashvili has also been stellar in doubles, teaming up with Najah Dawson to win six straight while producing an 11-4 record.  That total number of victories matches the team high with Ana Rodrigues and Leonie Schuknecht who are 11-2 together this season.

LA Tech is 54-34 overall in dual singles, having won at least eight matches on all six courts.  They are also 31-12 overall in dual doubles.

ABOUT NEW ORLEANS (8-3)
After opening the season with a loss at South Alabama, UNO has won eight of its last 10 matches including a 7-0 shutout over league foe McNeese State this past Saturday.

The Privateers, who won a share of the Southland Conference regular season title last season, have compiled a 25-5 doubles record this spring.  They are anchored by the duo of Estelle Vantheir and Ank Vullings who have won eight straight from the No. 2 position.

In singles, UNO is 39-21 with Mar Gendra leading the way with an 8-2 record.  All eight of her victories have come from the No. 5 position, a spot the Privateers have yet to lose at this spring.

THE SERIES
LA Tech trails in the all-time series with New Orleans, 9-15.  The Privateers have had the upper-hand in the series as of late, having won 13 of the last 14 meetings.  UNO has won two straight as LA Tech's last win came in 2014.  The two teams were scheduled to face one another in Ruston last season, but the match was canceled.
