HOUSTON, Texas –
James Swash and
Sam Murphy both recorded top 20 finishes and Louisiana Tech placed 10
th at the rain-shortened All-American Intercollegiate hosted by Houston at the Golf Club of Houston.
Tuesday's final round was canceled due to the strong thunderstorms that rolled across the southern part of the United States.
"I was disappointed we didn't get to play today," said Tech head coach
Matt Terry. "You never want to leave felling like you had more in the tank. We made way too many big numbers yesterday.
"If we eliminate those, and we have a lot better finish. The rounds that Sam shot round one and the rounds that James and Blake shot round two were really solid. We will need more of that moving forward."
Swash recorded a two-round total of one-over-par 145 (74-71) to tie for 11
th place out of a field of 99 golfers while
Sam Murphy shot a 36-hole total of three-over-par 147 (71-76) to tie for 18
th place.
Blaser, playing as an individual for the Bulldogs, fired a two-under-par 70 in Monday's second round and finished with a total of 149 (79-70) to tie for 29
