RUSTON – After a week off, Louisiana Tech is back in action on Saturday when they take on Tyler Junior College at 1 p.m. at the LA Tech Tennis Complex.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (16-2)
LA Tech continued its winning ways this past Saturday, claiming their 14th straight victory as they defeated West Alabama by a final score of 4-3.  It also extended their home winning streak to 12 (perfect 11-0 this season).
 
Leonie Schuknecht and Ana Rodrigues pulled off their 12th victory in doubles, and then turned around to provide two points in singles.  Schuknecht improved to 10-7 from the top position after a 6-0, 6-4 win while Rodrigues claimed her third straight victory with a 6-3, 6-1 win from the No. 6 spot. 
 
The other two points came from Ilana Tetruashvili at No. 4 who won her team-leading 14th match of the spring and Tiffani Nash who improved to 3-1 as the newest member of the team. 
 
The bottom half of the singles lineup has been consistent all season, producing a combined 34-16 singles record.  Meanwhile in doubles, the team has a combined 34-15 mark.   
 
ABOUT TYLER JUNIOR COLLEGE (9-4)
TJC heads into Saturday ranked as the No. 1 team in the country in the NJCAA Women's ITA Collegiate Tennis Coaches Poll.  The Apaches, who have claimed three of the last four NJCAA national titles including last season, have won four in a row.
 
They are anchored by their two sophomores Lauren Anzalotta and Destinee Martins who are both ranked in the top three in the country in singles.   
 
THE SERIES
LA Tech trails in the all-time series with Tyler Junior College, 2-6.  The Apaches have won the last two meetings, including last season's matchup in Ruston.
