RUSTON, La. – The No. 8 Louisiana Tech Women's Bowling team will host an NCAA Championship Selection Show watch party on Wednesday, Mar. 30, at 3:00 p.m. inside the Chris Richardson Suite of the press box. The doors will open at 2:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
The 16-team NCAA Tournament field will feature four teams from the four regions in Arlington, Texas, Lansing, Mich., Erie, Pa., and Rochester, N.Y., made of eight automatic qualifiers and eight at-large bids.
The winner of each region will advance to the NCAA Championships on Apr. 15-17 in Columbus, Ohio.
LA Tech has the potential of receiving an at-large bid to the national tournament coming off a strong season and placing third at the Southland League Championships last weekend in Harahan, La.
Tech has played one of the come competitive schedules in the country this season and posted 31 wins over top-25 programs, including 18 wins over the top-10 and 11 wins over teams ranked inside the top five.
In all nine of their regular-season tournaments, LA Tech finished inside the top-10, including seven top-five finishes, three runner-up placements, and two tournament titles.
The Techsters have been ranked in the top-10 nationally all season long, reaching as high as No. 5 back in February.
Junior
Allie Leiendecker has shined all season as the Techsters' anchor. She has earned four all-tournament teams, including a tournament MVP honor.
Junior
Danielle Jedlicki bowled not one but two perfect games this season, the only two in program history, and has been named to two all-tournament teams while also picking up a tournament MVP honor.
Senior
Lindsay Manning and junior
Patricia Rosales earned selections to two all-tournament teams this season, and senior
Averi Brown qualified for the USBC individual national championship in April.
