RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech's
Steele Netterville and
Jonathan Fincher were named 2021-22 Baseball First Team Academic All-District today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
This is now three consecutive seasons that Netterville has received All-District First Team honors and now the second year that Fincher has been named first team honors.
Netterville was accepted into medical school in May of last year, but decided to return back for his fifth year as a Bulldog. The fifth-year senior graduated with a degree in biology and is currently pursuing his second degree in kinesiology and health sciences. He currently holds a 3.93 GPA.
Fincher recently graduated with a degree in biology and is also pursuing a second degree in kinesiology and health sciences and holds a 3.905 GPA.
The two have both earned C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and were named C-USA Academic Medalists in each year as a student-athlete at LA Tech.
