RUSTON, La. – For the sixth-straight season, the Louisiana Tech women's bowling team earned the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Team Award. The program has now earned the award in all six seasons under the helm of Head Coach Matt Nantais. 
 
The NTCA recognizes NCAA bowling teams that excel academically each year. Programs must have a cumulative GPA of a 3.2 or higher for the academic school year and be a current member of the NTCA. 
 
52 programs around the nation were honored with LA Tech ranking in the top-half of the country with a 3.52 team GPA for the 2021-22 campaign.
 
Of the 397 student-athletes recognized across 67 programs, nine Lady Techsters were represented achieving a 3.4 GPA or higher for the academic school year to qualify for the award. 
 
Senior Sara Howell-Floyd, junior Emma Koch, junior Allie Leiendecker, graduate student Lindsay Manning, senior Kalia Patterson, graduate student Emily Rettig, freshman Allyson Sand, sophomore Baileigh Snow, and junior Tara Spridco were all recognized.
 
Coming off another historic season qualifying for their second NCAA Regional in as many years, the Lady Techsters also led the Southland Conference with 10 student-athletes named All-Academic selections, 11 name to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, and four C-USA Academic Medalists for the 2021-22 academic year.
