RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech Golf team heads to the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational, a three-day event co-hosted by Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Southern Miss in the Magnolia State.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
LA Tech looks to rebound from a 15th-place finish at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate this past week. The Bulldogs shot 293-299-296=888 (+24) to end the event at the back of the pack.

The bright spot from their second team tournament of the season was
Niilo Maki-Petaja who set the program record for lowest round by a freshman, shooting 64 (-8) in round one. He would go on to finish tied for 18th as an individual, the best of any Bulldog. Maki-Petaja has a team-best stroke average of 71.83.

Fellow freshman
Jake Plumb is also in the lineup, having put together two of his six rounds under par including a 69 on the first 18 holes of the Argent Financial Classic. He has a stroke average of 73.17, right behind
Hunter Battles who has a stroke average of 73.00 as he competes in his second tournament of the season.

Riley Hnatyshyn will compete in the team lineup for the first time this season after playing in both the Argent Financial Classic and the GMAC Invitational as an individual.Â
Will Patrick will compete as an individual in this tournament.
