Bulldogs Close Out Cross-Country Season at CUSA Championship

RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech cross country teams finished the season at the Conference USA Championship at the Riverview Golf Course at Hobson Grove Park on Saturday morning.
The men's 8K started the event at 9 a.m. with nine Bulldogs taking the course.
Hayes Gill led the way for Tech with a new personal best of 27:45.5. Dillon Moree and Jayce Wimbish followed right behind with 28:02.1 and 28:12.4, respectively.
The first three Bulldogs on the women's side followed in successive order. Rebecca Quebedeaux was out front with a 26:18.8 for the 6K course. Selah Keene was right behind with a 26:26.6, followed by Lexa Thompson at 26:34.9.
Middle Tennessee swept the conference titles with 37 points on the men's side and 52 points for the women. Liberty was second with 53 points for the men, and the Flames tied New Mexico State with 61 points for the women. UTEP finished with 64 points to take third on the men's side.
